VACANCY – SUPERVISOR / OPERATIONS CONTROLLER

Izintuthwane logistics is a timber transport company specializing in the safe, efficient, and reliable transport of timber. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Supervisor to join our operations teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily timber transport operations
• Ensure timely loading, transportation and delivery of timber.
• Monitor fleet performance, vehicle compliance and driver behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure roadworthiness.
• Manage and allocate resources including vehicles, drivers, and equipment.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Support continuous improvement of operational efficiency and client service.

 REQUIRED COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:

• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of transport and logistics operations
• Computer literacy (MS Office and reporting systems)
• Understanding of HSEQ standards and regulations
• Valid code 10 driver’s license with PDP, code 14 (advantageous)
• Previous supervisory experience (advantageous)

   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric / SDP qualification.
• A qualification in Logistics, Transport Management or a related field.
• A recognized Occupational Health and Safety qualification or certificate.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in transport/logistics.
