Review and Realignment of the Amended Forest Sector Code

The Forest Sector Charter Council (FSCC) is committed to ensuring that the Amended Forest Sector Code (FSC) remains relevant, implementable, and aligned with the objective B-BBEE legislation and evolving transformation landscape. In line with this commitment, the FSCC will be undertaking a comprehensive review and realignment process of the Amended FSC beginning, in April 2025.

This process will involve extensive stakeholder consultations to gather insights on practical targets, principles and best practices intended to support, enforce and promote meaningful B-BBEE compliance and transformation within the forest sector.

Stakeholders will be kept informed about the developments of the review process in terms of required consultations and opportunities for engagement in preparation for both the 9(5) public comments and 9(1) the gazettes.
