HARVESTING SUPERVISOR REQUIRED – LIMPOPO 🌲

Forestry & Vegetation Management (FVM) is looking for an experienced Harvesting Supervisor to join our forestry operations team.

Minimum Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years forestry harvesting experience

* Proven experience managing harvesting teams and contractors

* Knowledge of cable extraction, skidders, shovel yarders, and timber extraction operations

* Ability to manage production targets and daily planning

* Strong leadership and people management skills

* Experience with safety compliance and forestry regulations

* Valid driver’s licence essential

* Must be willing to work in remote plantation areas

 

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage daily harvesting operations

* Supervise operators, chainsaw teams, and extraction crews

* Ensure production targets are achieved

* Monitor equipment productivity and downtime

* Ensure safety standards are maintained

* Daily reporting on production and operational performance

* Coordinate loading, extraction, and short-haul activities

 

Advantageous:

* Experience in plantation environments

* Mechanical knowledge of forestry machinery

* Experience with production reporting and stock control

 

Area: Limpopo

Position: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
